Haimanti's paintings, illustrations, embroidery and mehendi share an interest in pattern: leaves, faces and geometric forms built from detailed linework.

On canvas, those lines sit alongside blocks of colour. In mehendi, they follow the shape of a hand. In embroidery, they become stitches on fabric. Iofshapes brings these different parts of her practice together.

The red of Iofshapes echoes the colour her right hand has carried since birth.
